Founded in 1993, we are a leading brewer engaged in the industry as a manufacturer and exporter of a special range of branded Beer, Premium Whiskey, Rum, Vodka and Gin. We are a part of the most reputed SOM Group of Companies and at present, we have a strong presence at the domestic level with a marketing and distribution network covering the states of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, West Bengal, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Pondicherry, Meghalaya, Tripura, Daman, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Manipur and Kerala.

In addition, our company has also earned great repute at the international level and is operating its export all over the world. We currently supply spirits to liquor multinationals on a contract basis and export beer to the United Kingdom, Middle East and the USA. Our sister concern, SDBL primarily operates in the Premium Lager and Super Strong Beer segment. Black Fort Premium Lager is one of our most acclaimed brands which was awarded the Bronze medal in the International Beer & Cider competition held in London, UK in the year 1999.

SOM created history by being the first Indian bottled Lager to be awarded in the International Food Exhibition. Mr. J. K. Arora, Chairman and Managing Director, SOM, was awarded the Udyog Ratna 1995-96 by Mr. Bhism Narayan Singh, former governor of Tamil Nadu. It was instituted by the Institute of Economic Studies, New Delhi, India.

Our Strength

As a part of the well established SOM Group of Companies, we are fortunate to have a robust infrastructural base for ourselves. The infrastructural facilities of SOM Distilleries Pvt. Ltd. include the following:

• A well equipped in-house quality control laboratory with the requisite facilities for analyzing raw material, water, beer in-process at different stages
• A fully automatic glass bottle filling line for 650ml/330ml bottles (Nagima design 10000 bottle/hr) and also a fully automatic can filling line for 500/330ml (Meyer/Metal Box 18000/36000 CPH)
• Sophisticated storage facilities for 20 million bottles. The company has also established 4 semi-automatic and 3 automatic bottling lines along with mini-tunnel rinsers with conveyor for bottle washing
• We possess 14 Salwood wooden vats with a capacity of 386 KL and 4,000 American Oak casks of a capacity of 750 KL for maturing malt spirit grain spirit and ENA
• Other facilities of SDPL include boilers, coal handling plant, weighing bridge, electrical distribution system, including two high tension sub stations & DG sets and water treatment and storage plant for 1.5 million liters with distribution systems
• Apart from the facilities mentioned above, we have also established a workshop and a modern research & development center at the site.
